    User Training on RTI UP Online Portal held on 28th-29th January 2020 at RTI Bhawan, State Information Commission, Lucknow, UP

    Two days training cum workshop was organized for the user departments on RTI (Right to information) Online and RTI Request and Appeal Management Information System, Uttar Pradesh on 28th and 29th January 2020 at RTI Bhawan, State Information Commission, Lucknow. More than 280 Nodal officers/PIOs/Staffs of more than 88 Departments and 48 Directorates (public authorities) participated in the workshop/training programme. RTI Online portal is in roll out phase and more than 138 departments/Directorates are in live phase. The workshop was organized by Administrative Reforms Department, GoUP with technical support of NIC UP State unit.

    Following the initiative of Department of Personnel and Training, GoI RTI Online web portal has been developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), New Delhi under guidance of Mr. Y. V Ramana, Scientist-E. This project is being implemented in Uttar Pradesh by Mr. A. P. Singh, Scientist-F and ASIO, Mr. Parwaiz Islam, Scientist-E, Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Scientist-E and Ms. Pragya Agrawal, Scientist-B. Apart from hands on training on portal, Mr. Sheel Asthana, Joint Director, Mr. Rahul Singh, Senior Research Officer, Administrative Reforms Department,GoUP gave various inputs about The Right to Information Act (RTI), 2005. Mr. Rajesh Mehtani resource person for RTI in state briefed about RTI implementation in state.

    The portal has been developed for online submission of RTI requests and first appeals by citizens and their subsequent movement among PIOs, Appellate Authorities in the State Government Departments.
