Two month advance pension to beneficiaries through Integrated Pension Portal developed by NIC, UP

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath disbursed two month advance pension to over 86 lakh senior citizens, widows and differently abled person through the online integrated pension portal with a click of a mouse on 3rd April 2020, during the Corona Virus Lockdown period. A sum of Rs. 871.48 crore was transferred directly to the bank account of beneficiaries of the four social pension schemes. The Hon’ble Chief Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries in districts through video conferencing.

NIC, Uttar Pradesh has developed the social pension scheme portal (http://sspy-up.gov.in) for direct benefit transfer of funds under old age, widows, divyang and leprosy pension in the state. The portal receives online applications which are processed and transferred to the PFMS (Public Fund Management System) after electronic approvals for necessary payments directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

The complete activity of advance pension payment was carried out by NIC Officials in a record time of 4 days’ that too during the Corona virus lockdown period.
