Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0), Prayagraj
Honorable Chief Minister has marked a significant milestone by transferring ₹900 crore as the first installment directly into the bank accounts of 90,000 beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0). This initiative aims to provide affordable housing to urban poor families, promoting sustainable urban development and improving living standards across the state. In Prayagraj district alone, 3,379 deserving beneficiaries have been empowered through this scheme, receiving crucial financial support to construct or upgrade their homes.
During the event at Sangam Sabhaghar, the Honorable Chief Minister engaged in a heartfelt virtual interaction with Smt. Archana, a beneficiary from Prayagraj district—facilitated by the crucial technical support from NIC Prayagraj—which highlighted the government’s commitment to grassroots level welfare. Meanwhile, Honorable Cabinet Ministers, the Mayor, and the MLA personally handed over approval letters to 25 selected beneficiaries, symbolizing the start of their journey toward secure housing. This disbursement not only accelerates housing progress but also boosts local economies through construction activities and aligns with the vision of a ‘Housing for All’ mission.
